IonSwitch Terms of Service (TOS) Violation Policy

Revision
A - November 1, 2017

Summary

To protect our customers and infrastructure IonSwitch has developed a Terms of Service (https://clients.ionswitch.com/index.php?m=TermsOfService) document that covers acceptable and unacceptable uses of our resources.  When a system on our network is determined to display evidence of a Terms of Service violation, or we receive reports of Terms of Service violations, we will initiate steps to ensure complaince with our Terms of Service.

Detail

Abuse Complaints - In the event that IonSwitch receives an Abuse Report from another internet provider that appears to be valid, we will contact the resource contact with the details provided to us.  If we receive no response within 4 hours, we may restrict network access until the incident can be reviewed and mitigated.  In cases where there is clear and observed non-compliance with our Terms of Service, we reserve the right to immedately suspend networking.

High Network Throughput - IonSwitch monitors our network for high network throughput and high packet per second (PPS) behavior.  If this behavior appears to be in violation of our Terms of Service we will restrict network access immediately and alert the resource contact.  This may include full network suspension.  In the event that network access is restricted, a case will be opened with the resource owner.

Realtime Blacklist - IonSwitch monitors many common Internet RBL's for SPAM, TOR exit nodes, BotNet controllers and similar.  When a system becomes listed on an RBL we will restrict network access immediately and alert the resource contact.  This may include full network suspension.  In the event that network access is restricted, a case will be opened with the resource owner.
